Our own Comet, Dakota Lattimer, dug deep in his first match of the state tournament. With 20 seconds remaining in the match, down 11-7, he pinned his opponent. I think his classmates were with him. He's moving on.

Congratulations to the Transportation Department who received recognition from the State! This recognition was presented at the Board Meeting as the Certificate of Excellence for 100% in bus safety inspections for the 2023-2024 school year. This is a VERY difficult feat to manage. Michael Cowell, Doug Mogg, and Mandy Lattimer were able to attend and represent the entire department. Thank you to all who work and support in that area.

The Lady Comets traveled to Farwell last night and came out victorious after and overtime session 48-41. They were down 10 with 3 minutes remaining Emily VanSickle hit a free throw, while Kendall Allen and Eliza Lewis took care of erasing the lead with a 9-0 run to bring them back. In overtime, Lewis and Allen each went 2 for 2 from the free throw line with Eliza adding a fade-away floater that found the bottom of the net. The Comets then kept Farwell reeling with 2 blocks by Autumn Sapp and 1 by VanSickle in the critical OT. Coleman was led by Allen's 16 points and Klaira Sysak's 13 points and 8 rebounds. The JV team hung with the Eagle through 3 quarters, but fell behind in the 4th.
