Come See What's Cooking!

Fill your resume prior to applying for culinary schools or jobs in the industry! Students who successfully complete this CTE course will have the skills and knowledge that they need to be successful, including a ServSafe certification, which is needed in the food industry. Additionally, the businesses in Coleman and the surrounding community will gain skilled local individuals, with credentials that are needed in order for them to grow and be successful.

This program is open to high school students from Midland county, including homeschooled students. Contact your school counselor or call Coleman Schools at (989) 465-6171 for more information!

Cooking, Baking, Serving, Waiting Tables, Hosting, Bussing Tables, Etiquette, Greeting, Table-Setting, Food Presentation, Hospitality, Safe Knife Skills, Proper Sanitation Skills, SkillsUSA, PLUS a ServSafe certification and real-life simulations of what it's really like to work in a restaurant!

What's SkillsUSA?

SkillsUSA teaches leadership building, Culinary Arts certifications, competitions both State and National, and presentation/public speaking skills. It is an in-class curriculum that allows students to build skills before graduation with the potential to become a national champion. If you are familiar with Ag, think FFA but for Culinary Arts!
