Ms. Infante showed off her super cool jacket yesterday, covered in colorful drawings and signatures from last years' 1st grade class! (Lovingly dubbed 'Firsties 3.0' by Ms. Infante) If you haven't met Ms. Infante yet, she just started her 4th year here with us and is doing an excellent job! Like this post if you wish you had a custom jacket like this, too!

Today is Tech./Communications Recognition Day for the District! Between Mrs. Laurie Bell, Mrs. Natalie Kalitta, Mr. Jim Burkhart, Mr. Brian Cone, Ms. Emily VanSickle, Mr. Zack MacPhee and Mr. James Schaefer, we have the best people around. These people do their "other" jobs throughout the day and then add to that, they keep our technology up-to-date and humming along and share all the amazing events and progress happening here at the school in new and fun ways. Thank you to each one of them!
If you have a moment today, please stop them and say thanks, give them a small token of appreciation or share a note with them to recognize their work.

2nd grader Miss Lily Palmer is our first Pledge Leader of the new school year! She did a fantastic job bravely reciting the Pledge of Allegiance all by herself and getting the meeting started. Thanks Lily for showing the Board how you #LEADLikeAComet!

Coleman Athletic Boosters have generously contributed to the safety and support of our athletic teams. At Friday night's home football game, Mr. Greg Mallek was presented with a Safety/Golf Cart donated by the Boosters. This 2021 Club Cart includes a first responders first aid kit, ice packs, charging ports, flip down seat and Defibtech Lifeline AED system with a 4-year warranty. This will make it very easy to reach injured players, transport our refs and ensure the safety of everyone at the games. Thank you to the Boosters Board and also to all of the community members who have donated to the Boosters to help make this happen at the golf outing, Booster Bonanza and at other times.

We're so proud of Comet alum Oakley Cole. Oakley was offered a job as a Correctional Officer for the State of Michigan. He replied "yes". Congrats Oakley! #ColemanCometPride #ColemanComet #LEADLikeAComet

Welcome to Mrs. Kara Calkins who has officially joined us. Mrs. Calkins is now a paraprofessional at the elementary building; she has been subbing for us for the past year and we are happy to welcome her on to the team. Congratulations, Mrs. Calkins!

The 6th graders had a fun time working together and creating with Legos (Synergy!) The classes were split into teams of 4. Each team had to work together and decide what they were building and how they were building it. They did a great job! Look at that Comet Creed masterpiece! It even has a mini Mrs. Araway, Mrs. McCormack, and Mrs. Klopf overseeing everything - but the best part is the mini Deputy Hodges in the watchtower!! Ms. Timlin and Mrs. Lynch's classes did great with the 6th habit of Leader in Me! #LEADLikeAComet #ColemanCometPride

Comet Cheerleaders spent some time making school spirit posters to pump up the students for the first varsity football game of the season tonight! Pictured are just some of the posters hung up around the Jr/Sr High. The team is traveling to Portland tonight to play against the St. Pats. Good luck tonight everyone!!
