Coleman Community Schools

The Boys' JV and Varsity Basketball Teams and their Coaches, Mr. Dirk Smith and Mr. Chance Wells were recognized by a referee after Thursday nights' games for their sportsmanship. In his words, "I just wanted to express my gratitude and congratulations for the way in which both of your boys teams and coaches conducted themselves tonight.  We as officials were not perfect but whenever we were questioned about calls or situations it was done with respect and professionalism.  The young men played hard but never expressed frustration to the point of being chippy.  As you and I both know that isn’t always easy when the contest doesn’t go as well as hoped. Please pass on my thoughts to your coaches and express my thanks for their conduct as well as the conduct of the players.  Coleman can be proud of the way their young men played the game."  As Coleman Schools' Superintendent, these types of compliments are some of my most proud moments.
