A big welcome to one of our newest additions to the Comet family, Mr. Jason Gott! (The human in the picture, not the cat!)
I asked him a few interview questions so we could get to know him better.
Do you have any prior connection with this school district or community?
Yes! I’m a Coleman Schools alum - class of ‘99. My mother was a head start teacher in the community, and my fiancee is also from here. I lived in Flint for several years but I’m so glad to be back. I fondly remember this community coming together to help out my family during a house fire, I’ll never forget it!
What’s something you’re learning about right now?
I’m learning about the differences between my past professional life and this environment! There’s a lot to learn. I’m also in school, working on my degree in communications. I also enjoy studying music theory, and have been for 30 years! I play guitar and bass.
What do you like to do in your free time?
Hang out with my family and friends, I build models, learning music theory and working on instruments, videography.
What adjectives would you use to describe yourself?
Dependable, stubborn, punctual, “tough but fair”
What’s your secret talent?
I am a darn good cook! I worked in a kitchen for 28 years throughout my life.
