Due to Covid-19 and additional safety precautions, the Midland County Health Department will not schedule hearing and vision screenings for schools at this time. They are providing hearing and vision screenings AT the Health Department, so please call 989-832-6673 for an appointment if there are any concerns. Screenings at the schools are expected in the future, as well.

Time is Running Out- Be Counted - Take the Census
Respond to Census 2020 right away and bring money to the community for each person listed on your Census. Do not miss out on the resources and political power our community deserves. The Census provides funding for vital programs our community depends on such as free/reduced school lunches, funding for students with disabilities, Title & At-Risk funding which supports teachers, paraprofessionals, counseling, behavioral specialists, interventionists and materials for Coleman Schools’ students every year. Funding also supports our roads and bridges. Higher Census counts for the community and State determine the strength and numbers behind our political voice in Lansing and Washington DC. Be Counted at 2020census.gov or at 844.330.2020.

Tomorrow is Custodian/Maintenance Employee Appreciation Day! If you see any of our guys (or gal) out and about, tell them how awesome we think they are for all they do: snow removal, event set up and clean up, mowing, painting, locker maintenance, supply stocking, trash pick up, changing lights, locking and opening up, cleaning (LOTS of cleaning), and so much more.

A letter will be coming home today with your child with updates from the most recent Executive Order from the Governor and how it affects each district. Please take a few minutes to read through it.

Just a reminder, as shared out in a previous message about athletics, Homecoming, previously scheduled for Oct. 2, is postponed. We are not able to hold an assembly, dance, parade due to Executive Orders. Still looking at other options, but they will not take place next week. Please bear with is as everything is a bigger process this year.
Some AM Agriscience kids with their trophy boulder from this morning's rock picking adventure in the new Outdoor Land Lab in front of the elementary school. It was like an iceberg; most of it was hidden below ground.
